Last Updated: October 15, 2023

1. Copyright Ownership

At VoiceMusic, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. When you upload content to VoiceMusic, you retain all ownership rights to your content. However, you grant VoiceMusic certain licenses to use your content as described in our Terms of Service.

2. Copyright of Original Works

Copyright protection extends to original works of authorship fixed in any tangible medium of expression. This includes musical compositions, sound recordings, artwork, and other creative content. As an artist, you automatically own the copyright to your original works from the moment they are created and fixed in a tangible form.

3. Distribution Rights

When you use VoiceMusic to distribute your music, you authorize us to distribute your content to third-party platforms on your behalf. This does not transfer copyright ownership to VoiceMusic or to the platforms. You remain the copyright owner of your content.

4. Cover Songs and Samples

If you want to distribute a cover version of someone else's song, you must obtain the appropriate mechanical licenses. Similarly, if you sample another artist's work in your music, you must obtain the necessary sample clearances.

VoiceMusic can help facilitate the licensing process for cover songs through our partnerships with licensing agencies, but the responsibility for obtaining proper licenses ultimately rests with you, the artist.

5. Copyright Infringement

VoiceMusic takes copyright infringement seriously. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws worldwide. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our Service in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please follow our DMCA takedown procedure outlined in our DMCA Policy.

6. Content ID and Fingerprinting

VoiceMusic uses content identification technology to help identify potential copyright infringement. This technology creates a digital fingerprint of audio content and compares it against a database of known copyrighted works.

If our system identifies a potential match, we may review the content manually to determine if it infringes on copyright. If we determine that the content infringes on copyright, we may remove it from our Service and take appropriate action against the user who uploaded it.

7. Repeat Infringers

VoiceMusic maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. If you repeatedly upload content that infringes on others' copyrights, your account may be suspended or terminated.

8. Educational Resources

We provide educational resources to help our users understand copyright law and avoid copyright infringement. These resources include articles, guides, and FAQs about copyright, licensing, and related topics.

9. Changes to This Copyright Information

We may update this Copyright Information from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Copyright Information on the Service.
